Job Description:
The Family Development Division Intern will support social workers with enquiries, data collection, and follow-ups. Assists in case preparation, accompany to home visits and client appointments, coordinate programmes, and contribute to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry, data management, and the maintenance of accurate volunteer and programme records.
- Attend to enquiries via phone, email, and walk-in visitors, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Support social workers in daily operations, including follow-up with beneficiaries and their families.
- Gather social information and conduct preliminary assessments to aid case intervention and management.
- Accompany social workers on home visits and assist in escorting clients to appointments (e.g., hospitals, courts).
- Assist in planning and organising programmes and liaise with external partners for projects.
- Compile monthly statistics and support research and data collection efforts.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Social Work, or a related field.
- Exhibits good organisational, multitasking, and time‑management abilities.
- Possesses strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to adapt quickly and perform effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Office, excel and data handling will be an advantage.
- Participate in assigned events when required.
- Flexible to work on weekday evenings and Saturdays (overtime payment will be provided for approved overtime hours worked).
